Africa’s future is the key mission of the Mandela Scholarship. Founded by the Sussex University Students’ Union in 1973 to provide university education for South African students denied it under apartheid, its remit now extends to southern Africa.

In Nelson Mandela’s words, “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
